Armelle Mauvais / Artiste peintre et sculpteur
The arts as a driving force!
She has always been involved in various artistic pursuits, from theatre to visual arts and music.
After completing her A-levels in literature and visual arts, with a focus on music, she went on to study for a master's degree in performing arts, specialising in theatre, in order to work in the field common to both arts: set design.
She is a painter of small and large-scale trompe-l'oeil decorations (for businesses, local authorities and private individuals)
and theatre sets. (Certificate in set painting, Ecole Artemisia Paris)
Sculptor, with a preference for clay and an attraction to other types of materials. (Self-taught, with experience in Parisian artists' studios; Paris Opera sculpture studio, artists Petrus & Christian Siméon)
She is interested in the body and its expressiveness.
An avid traveller, she practises photography.
An art teacher for several years, she has continued to explore questions around art and creativity in therapeutic work, in a new course at Paris Cité University. After obtaining a master's degree in humanities and social sciences with a specialisation in artistic creation, she has now added art therapy to her practice.
She has been fortunate enough to be invited to participate in group exhibitions in the Paris region and Belgium, mainly for her sculptural work.
Her decorative paintings can be seen in the streets of various towns in Seine-et-Marne.
